Born and raised in Karachi, Umaima Mustafa is a Political Science and Women studies major
who completed her LLB from the University of London to pursue a career in Law. Belonging to
a Textile based household, Umaima always had a passion for fashion and designed her own
clothes. Her enthusiasm for the craft grew when she came back from the USA and assisted
her mother Farnaz Mustafa at her boutique. From that point onwards she made the decision to
launch her own brand under the eponymous label Umaima Mustafa.
Drawing her inspirations from numerous sources, Umaima’s attention to detail and need for
perfection still guides the designer in the work she creates today and can be observed in the
extension of her debut collection which consists of fusion luxury pret, with select pieces from
the label’s couture collection. The line also includes a mix of ready to wear outfits including
