Lahore. Following the announcement of their patronage of Pakistan’s
most prestigious polo tournament, the ‘Porsche National Polo Open’ for
the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup 2014, the Porsche Centre Lahore presented the
Porsche Polo Diaries Fashion Show that featured 15 of Pakistan’s leading
fashion designers. A celebration of lifestyle that bought together the
spirit of Porsche, Polo and Fashion, the showcase featured an
exhibition of capsule design collections which endeavored to capture the
majesty of the sport of polo as the source of their inspiration.
The
event was attended by designers, socialites and media personalities
including TV show host Hina Malik, 6 goal handicapped polo player Hissam
Hyder, national polo player Shah Qublai Alam, participating
international players in Porsche National Polo Open, designer Arjumand
Amin, entrepreneur Zahra Raza, RJ Fizza Aslam, stylist Shammal Qureshi,
stylist Redah Misbah, businessman Ramzan Sheikh and biking enthusiast
Moin Khan. The fashion exhibition presented a unique take on traditional
runway shows and featured polo ponies, polo players currently
participating in the Porsche National Polo Open and models with props
such as polo mallets, polo whips and embellished polo helmets.
The participating designers included the Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio,
Deepak Perwani, Fahad Hussayn, Faraz Manan, Fnkasia, Gulabo, HSY, Maheen
Karim,
Munib Nawaz, Nida Azwer, Sania Maskatiya, Sonya Batla, The House of Kamiar Rokni, Wardha Saleem and Zara Shahjahan.

Polo Diaries Fashion Show was handled by Catwalk Events &
Productions with Public Relations by Lotus PR. The Porsche Polo Diaries
Fashion Show was also one among several activities planned by Porsche
Centre Lahore during the Porsche National Polo Open 2014 Tournament,
ultimately leading towards the reveal of the Porsche Macan during the
final match of the polo tournament on 16th of March 2014 in-line with
its global launch.
