Karachi, June 5: Karachi’s much anticipated
family festival-Masala Family Festival 2014, held at the Expo Centre
Karachi ended up in the huge applause and applauds by the audiences for
the organisers. The two-day festival provided families with an
opportunity to plan a perfect day-out, where they met their favourite
Masala chefs, shop to their hearts content, watched live cooking
demonstrations by Masala chefs, and purchased autographed copies of
their favourite cookbooks.

The
audiences were much enthralled by the live cooking demonstration of all
Masala chefs at different times during the two-day festival, giving the
crowds a chance to see their favourite chefs. The highlight of this
two-day event was the interactive session of Chefs at the Publications
booth of HUM Network where they signed copies of their cookbooks and
took pictures with audiences.
The other main highlight of this
year’s festival was the kids’ arena, for the entertainment of kids of
all ages. The huge and beautifully set-up kids’ arena had wide ranging
fun rides, from jumping castles to bowling alleys to the Ferris wheel,
merry-go-round, and train rides to keep them occupied.
Apart from
the fact that all major FMCG companies were part of the event, selling
everything from household appliances, food items and crockery to
jewellery, clothing and much more. To satiate the appetites of the
visitors, the organisers arranged for lots of food and drinks stalls as
well. The visitors were also given a chance to win different prizes
including motorbikes, washing machines and other household appliances
via lucky draws and various fun activities and games.
