After
the critical success of the release of his first single earlier this December,
one of Pakistan’s leading singer and songwriter, Jimmy Khan has released the
much awaited second song and video from the album ‘Tich Button’, titled ‘Tich
Buttona Di Jori’.
Released
in collaboration with Patari and Radio1FM91, ‘Tich Buttona Di Jori’ is an original urban folk/country tune
written by lyricist Daniyal Malik (of Begairat Brigade) and composed by Jimmy
himself. With a typical country song structure, ‘Tich Buttona Di Jori’ is a traditional yet comical
rendition of the universal theme of harmony with a funky modern twist.
Much like the Tich Button
itself, the song “Tich Buttona Di Jori” universally
refers to things that perfectly fit into each other representing “Perfect
Harmony”. This could point towards relationships, tools or objects that work
best in consonance. The video itself depicts the same idea, intercut with a
performance sequence.
Jimmy Khan has successfully incorporated
the prevalent theme of harmony through a perfect orchestration and amalgamation
of various instruments and melodies. This song combines “Traditional Punjabi
Tunes” with modern sounds and retains Jimmy Khan’s signature style.
